Wednesday, August 9th, 2000: 10:39PM CST -------------------- Still cleaning w/o kappas... Kenny >>> ICQ# 32530583

I'm still cleaning my room--well if that's what you want to call it. I realized about 3 hours ago that this was more than cleaning, because if it was just cleaning...I would have been done 3 hours ago. This could be considered more of an overhaul I guess you could say, I'm going through everything...and of course I have some sort of reason to keep everything, so I'm really just moving stuff from one pile of junk to another--sometime I suppose, I'll have to actually pack something away or--heaven forbid--throw something away. I sold my old CD player today..it felt good to get some money for it. I realized that my old CD player--which technically can't be called "mine" any more...must have had a pretty low RMS, my new one is 22 watts and my speakers sound so much better, and they can take much more power...about 4 times as much--and for being a car instead of a larger vechical--such as the shaggin' waggin'--I hardly need an amp...of course I'm sure it wouldn't hurt if I did have one. Oh, and this guy I bought the 4x6 kappa's from is starting to piss me off...he hasn't responded to a single email I've sent him...and I've sent 3, oh well, if I don't know anything more by the time I leave for college...screw it-I'll just forget about him and the speakers.

Wednesday, August 9th, 2000: 1:59AM CST -------------------- 2:00AM ramblings... Kenny >>> ICQ# 32530583

I got my new CD player for my car in the mail today, I really like it! I'll be selling my old one tomorrow, and I'm also selling some old speakers that I had in the car to Joey--whenever he get's the money. Also I bid on--and won--a set of infinity kappa 4x6 plate speakers on ebay, but the guy who ran the auction only contacted me once to get my address so he could figure the shipping charges, and it's now been over a week since the auction ended and I havent' heard anything else from him--and I'm moving in nine days...I won't be here much longer so he better get the show on the road. Well here I am, awake at nearly 2AM and what have I been doing for the past 4+ hours you may be wondering...well I'll tell you...my mom wants me to start boxing up all the stuff in my room either to take w/ me to UofL or to put in the attic, there was, however, one problem...I could hardly see what I wanted to box-up..so I've been cleaning my room..yes for over 4 hours...it was bad. OK so I wasnt' constantly cleaning...but for at least half of the time I was activly making and effort--well sort of an effort--some people may call it that. Oh well, I guess I'll go back to my room and try and make some room on my bed--which has become a tempory storage area so I can get some sleep--Oh yeah, that's what I hate about cleaning my room I put all the stuff I want to keep or put away later on my bed, so when I go to bed that night, I have to put all that on the floor, and you can hardly tell that I've done anything at all--this does not make mom happy. I am so ready to go to college...but I dont' want to go to class...lol.. I doubt that could happen too easily, who knows.

Saturday, August 5th, 2000: 1:59PM CST -------------------- Work & Hell... Kenny >>> ICQ# 32530583

Work is now officially over. That's right ladies and gentelmen, I have finished up working for the summer, and the best part is, I still get a pay check at the end of next week, and get to sleep in every day--I like that. If anyone from work reads this, I want to thank you all for making my job seem much more enjoyable than it actually was, and for everything else you did--thank you. OK, so now, we were talking about something yesterday in the break room, but right at the moment I can't remember what it was...it must have been partially important, because I remember Jeff told me to write my opinions about it on here, but it seems as if this is the best I'm gonna be able to do, for now at least. I bought a new CD player for my car the other day, I figured I needed a detatchable face up in Louisville, and I already sold my old one to a guy at work--so it's all good. OK I know you all want to know when the good stuff begins so here we go:

I read this somewhere, and I really enjoyed it. This was the actual bonus question on a college chemistry mid-term exam, and one student's actual response:

Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?

Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law, (gas cools off when it expands and heats up when it is compressed) or some variant. One student, however, wrote the following:

First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate that souls are moving into Hell and the rate they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving.

As for how many souls are entering Hell, lets look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Some of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there are more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell.

With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially.

Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added. This gives two possibilities:

1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.

2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.

So which is it? If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year, "...that it will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you.", and take into account the fact that I still have not succeeded in having sexual relations with her, then, #2 cannot be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and will not freeze.

The student recieved the only "A" given.

Sunday, July 30th, 2000: 10:37PM CST -------------------- Caves & Security... Kenny >>> ICQ# 32530583
Caves are fun, to sit in that is...to fall in, that's another story. I went caving this weekend, and I have to say that overall, it was fun, but very very tiring. Caving itself is a very physically demanding activity, it's all about climbing and crawling and sliding around on rocks and in wet clay--sounds like some typical weekend fun huh? Well whatever you want to call it, one thing's for sure, you'll come home a bit more sore than you were when you went. This is the second time I've been in Glover's Cave, I went once last year too, but this time we went deeper in, and it was more challenging, but I dont' regret doing it. Hmm...what else, oh...I got an email while I was gone--actually I got nine, but that's beside the point. One of them had an attatched file, actually the message was in html format, so it had to open it in another window for security purposes...and I'm thinking what?? what's the problem with opening html in a browser window--that's what they're for, that's what all this is!! I just don't get it... oh and speaking of html, I'm having some problems with my guestbook, when you click on the links above, you get html gibberish, just try refreshing the page a couple of times until you get to the real thing, if that doesn't work, oh well, I guess you don't have to sign it this time...I also saw a good movie tonight, my sister rented Stigmata---I found it very intriguing, I would reccomend it highly to anyone.

Tuesday, July 25th, 2000: 3:47PM CST -------------------- Work... Kenny >>> ICQ# 32530583
Well, I just got home from work a few minutes ago, and I'm about to begin making some CD's for Gary. Now that I sit here, I realize that there's possibility that there could be some people from work reading this, and since I know that they are eager to read all of my complaints and things of that nature, just look at the archives for all that good information. OK well, even though I'm posting, I don't really have too much to talk about. I think there is going to be some work done on the pup coiler tomorrow, hopefully it will be during my shift, I'm not sure though, that's just what I heard. If not, I guess it will be ok. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I lost $20 dollars to my dad today, I bet him about the hours of the credit union office at work, and I had my days mixed up of course, and I lost the bet--but I did win a free beverage in the break room, so it's all about even.

Wednesday, July 19th, 2000: 7:47AM CST -------------------- Finally, a post!... Kenny >>> ICQ# 32530583
Well here it is, the moment I know you've all been waiting for, the first post from my new computer, and yes, for those of you who don't know, I got a new computer. It's a HP 8770--somethin like that..it has a 850MHz processor, and a 45 gig hard drive and other fancy stuff like that including a CD burner and a DVD player. I know it's been quite a while since my last post, but the past week and a half has been pretty fast paced. When I got home from my college orientation the weekend before last, my speakers were here, so I installed them and then slept for a couple of hours, and went to work at 10:30PM....then up until yesterday morning, I had been doing pretty much just sleeping and working. I got this computer on Saturday, but didn't get all my important files transfered until monday night, then yesterday, I was learning how to use my CD burner and didn't have time to post, and today, well here I am!! Finally, and I know you're so happy that I'm back.--OH, and I got new shoes yesterday--that's them to the right!

Friday, July 7th, 2000: 1:37AM CST -------------------- Speakers: Again... Kenny >>> ICQ# 32530583
OK, who does UPS think they are. I have the fancy little tracking number of my speakers, so I know where they are, they're not hiding anything from me. So, they got to Cach, IL at 11:37PM on July 5th...wednesday night.--there's an arrivial scan that you can plainly see on the internet, Ok, good...I thought, they'll ship out soon. Well, I get home from work last night and I am shocked. the only thing that's happened is a "Location Scan" at 6:08PM which confirms that they are in Cach, IL...well no shit!! I mean they arrived there, and ovbiously they're not important enough to go anywhere else, who the heck is gonna come in there and take a random box. Did they really need to scan them just to toy with me?..I don't think so!! It's been almost 25 hours since they got to Cach (where the hell is that anyway?...and who named it?) and they're still sitting there...25 hours and it's only 3 hours and 44 minues away, hmm...everyone getting screwed by the system please raise your hand now *note to readers: my hand is currently raised* ...and so the wait continues, will I ever get my speakers??? The world may never know.

Thursday, July 6th, 2000: 12:46AM CST -------------------- Speakers & Britney... Kenny >>> ICQ# 32530583
Well my speakers are 3 hours and 44 minutes away. So I should have them by friday at the latest. Hmm...moving on...I saw this pic and thought it was soo...hmm...funny, I mean, I have nothing against Britney Spears in tight leather body suits, but I wonder how this makes her feel...hell, who am I kidding, she probably has a giant poster of it in her room, right next to the pic of her implants. Well, I had to work on July 4th, no big deal really, I get paid time and a half, so it all evens out in the end. Well only two more days of work this week, I'm so ready to be off. Well that's all for now.

Tuesday, July 4th, 2000: 12:26AM CST -------------------- Speakers: Almost... Kenny >>> ICQ# 32530583
Finally the whole speaker deal is straightened out. The box he had was crushed in one corner, so he got a new box to send to me, however, he didn't tell me that until nearly 2 weeks after he told me that he had indeed sent them. He uses some kind of automated email system, so as soon as he got my money, it kicked in and said that he had shipped the item, when in actuality, he had not. I have the UPS tracking number, and can track the package so it's all good now, and I should have them before the week's over. I'm working evening shift this week, which means two good things: 1-- sleeping in, and 2: -- a four day weekend coming up. oh, and plus I get paid time-and-a-half for July 4th, which is a good thing. A week from tonight I will be sleeping in a dorm at UofL, that's right, it's almost time for my orientation and registration--woo hoo, can't you feel the excitement. Bad thing is that I get home at like 8:00PM on tuesday, and have to go into work at 11:00PM that night, oh well...maybe it won't be busy., yeah right.
